Rihanna’s FENTYxPUMA Collection

From the iconic Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild in Paris, Rihanna presented her second FentyxPuma collection. With socialites and models in attendance, the ambiance was captivating. Violins played trap music, while models strutted a “super-regal and a perfect mix of street- and sportswear.” Since our bad gal became the face of Dior, one can see how the Château de Versailles was a huge influence. The setting alone was inspired by how Christian Dior once showed his latest designs: within the walls of a small room in Paris. Rihanna paid homage to France’s most fashionable royals, her inspiration was “what if Marie Antoinette went to the gym.” The idea is feminine and fun yet wearable. It was interesting to see male models in lacy camisoles and pearl necklaces. Many brands have been including gender neutral styles in their collections, so it’s nice to see Rihanna’s personal interpretation. I’d love to get my hands on a “Puma”-labeled lace fan, that’s a dope touch in my eyes. x
