Sadly it’s Day 13 — the final day #NYFW and unfortunately, it’s difficult for me to review every presentation so I’m showcasing some from the past few days. Starting with Zac Posen, who was influenced by one of his favorite designers, Charles James. Posen said, “This collection came down to exactly what he was about: focusing on a level of discipline and craft.” His garment construction is similarly precise. Zac Posen is a notable dress designer who’s presentation expressed that clearly.

The theme of Alice + Olivia’s presentation definitely caught my attention. The visual gave me a haunted Alice in Wonderland vibe. Stacey Bendet knows how to tell a story.

Marc Jacobs never disappoints. After leaving his position as creative director of Louis Vuitton, the anticipation for this presentation was major. He presented neutrals and soft pastels. Debuting her modeling career is Kendall Jenner in a sheer top, no pasties. Hey now.

I don’t have to tell the world how much I adore Vera Wang. I’m saving my pennies for a dress from her wedding collection. She does no wrong in my eyes, the woman is brilliant. I love the darkness + attitude that came down the runway, that shocked people but not me. I’m here for the rebellion. “People think of me for romance,” said the wedding gown designer. “But there’s always the old reference to what our brand stands for. There’s tomboy, male energy mixed in with a sensuality.”

Josie Natori’s Fall collection was inspired by, “the richness of Russia’s cultural heritage.”
